About Daniel Toops
Pastoral care, speaking, writing,
Speaker, author, and inspirational motivator
Greetings.
I have been involved in Christian Ministry for nearly 25 years. Through the years, I have worked at fulfilling my God given purpose; to touch and impact the lives of people for the better. I have tried to accomplish this through speaking, writing, compassionate listening and providing basic life necessities (food-clothing-shelter) to those in need.
I have written numerous articles, church cirriculum, and have being a contributing author for two books. Writing has been and will always be a passion of mine.
I am in the process of designing and implementing Better Thinking Better Living ministries, which will be geared to help assist in my basic purpose to touch lives and impact them for the better. This ministry will focus on building people up through speaking engagements, seminars, conferences, audio/video materials, and books.
My real joy comes from my family. Patti, my wife of over twenty five years, my son Duane and his wife Crystal, and my two precious grandchildren: Lennon and McCartney.
Dan Toops
A degreed and ordained clergy member, Dan has spent most of his adult life in helping people turn their lives around through pastoral care, teaching, preaching, and providing basic life needs such as food, shelter and clothing.
“I have launched Better Thinking Better Living to provide a holistic apporach to self improvement. I am implementing motivational, inspirational, and spiritual insights to accomplish this goal. BTBL is also committed to helping those in dire need of life's basic necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, and clean drinking water. In the long term, it is my desire to create centers that provide these basic necessities as well as education and medical care."
Duane Toops
Musician, poet, artist, teacher, husband, and father. Duane is the son of Dan and Patti Toops. He has been involved in his father’s ministry since he was a teenager serving in a variety of capacities. In the fall of 2009 Duane began to feel the unction to begin a community of like minded people, who are searching for God and spiritual enlightenment, but have been turned off by the religiosity that they have encountered. So, in January of 2010 Duane launched the first meeting of “The Gathered”. To say that the Gathered is a bible study group is far too narrow of a definition. It is a place where faith and doubt are dance partners. A place where misfits, seekers, hurting, and questioners come together in their search of spiritual significance.
“The Hebrew prophet Hosea once said ‘My people perish for lack of knowledge’. People perish not from a lack of money, resources, talent, skills, potential, or abilities but from a lack of knowledge, proving once and for all that what you don’t know can and most certainly will hurt you. Our number one goal is to get people to think, to awaken their hearts and minds to the knowledge that there is
no obstacle that cannot be overcome after all once you realize that what else is there?”
